Odin – 2 year old male German Shepherd cross Husky

Please meet Odin!

Odin is a 2 year old German Shepherd cross Husky. He is a very cheeky, sweet boy and will do anything to make you happy. However he is nervous of new people and will take his time to get to know you before he shares his heart.

Odin was brought into our care as sadly he wasn’t happy being left on his own. His new adopters would need to take this in to consideration.

He will benefit going to training classes to learn some basic manners. However, he is very bright and will do anything to please. Odin is strong on the lead and particularly needs heel work when out on walks. He will zone out, forgets there is a person on the other end of the lead, and will pull you especially when he gets overwhelmed in busy areas. His new family will need to work with him to keep him calm and to show him the world isn’t such a scary place.

Odin is looking to be the only dog, although he is good with dog, he does find it over overwhelming to bond with his new adopters and a dog too. Once he has gain confidence when meeting new people, and has fully bonded with his new owners he can share his home with another dog. For the meantime, he looking for one on one time with his new family.

Odin is very nervous about meeting new people and will bark and avoid until he has gained his confidence around them. He is nervous of people when on walks too and will bark at them, so he is looking for someone who has dealt and trained nervous dogs before.
