Lois is a very sweet, delicate older lady of about 10-11 years of age. She is a fairly tall dog who is I would say “lean” boxer dog in size and shape although her body shape will charge considerably once we have fattened her up a little. She came onto our radar when one of the dogs we were due to travel could not make the run. She had been sitting in the private shelter waiting patiently for this opportunity for nearly half her life and her photographs broke our heart. She is the most adorable grandma dog you will ever meet and now she is over her initial shyness has become my shadow (when she is not sleeping that is).
She just adores human contact and just sits looking at you waiting for a gentle head rub or cuddle. She is very underweight at the moment so is fed separately because she is being fed raw food we want to make sure she is getting all her own dinner and none of it is being stolen by the rest of the gang. It’s still fairly early days into her assessment but I am sure that given a little time and patience she will make someone the best and most loyal companion. We have started some lead work and although she’s a little reluctant at the moment we are making progress.
Lois would be best suited to a quieter home with someone that leads a nice steady lifestyle, with gentle strolls (or even just a potter round a nice big garden) and lots of cuddles and head rubs as Lois loves cuddles and head rubs.
