Pecan – 4 year old female Kokoni Terrier Cross

Pecan is a 4 year old female Kokoni Terrier Cross. Pecan is a rescue from Cyprus, currently living with her foster mum in Tidworth, whilst she waits for her forever family to find her. Here is a little about her: Pecan is a calm and placid little dog. She loves to sleep on the sofa with her human and will follow you around the house. She will be nervous at first and hopes to find a special family to give her lots of TLC. She will also need someone around for most of the time. She loves her food and gets excited at meal times and is not the least bit fussy.

Loud noises can make Pecan nervous but once reassured she is fine. For this reason she would prefer a family with not very young children. Pecan gets on with other dogs but would happily live on her own as she would enjoy all the hugs and cuddles to herself. She currently lives with the resident cat in her foster home and sometimes chases and barks at the cat in play, so she should be able to live with dog friendly cats.

Pecan does not like to share her food and treats with other dogs. Pecan is good around older children and enjoys being stroked and close to them. She will bark when the door bell goes but as soon as the visitor is in the door she stops. She sleeps well through the night preferring to sleep on the floor by her foster mum’s bed. If she asks to go out in the early hours she is very happy to go back to sleep afterwards. At present Pecan does not like to be left for long, it is improving but her new family will need to help her further with this.

Pecan walks well on a harness and short lead. She is a little scared of the noise that an extendable lead makes. As with any new dog joining your home Pecan will benefit from ongoing training to help her become the dog that you want her to be. Pecan is a lovely little dog who is still a little nervous. She is looking for a special family who will give her reassurance and support to help her build her confidence Pecan would be happy as an only dog or to share with another dog. She would also like a safe garden to play and relax in.

Pecan has a tremendous amount of love to give her family. If you are interested in the gorgeous, adorable, little girl, please contact us. We have no doubt that she will make her forever family very happy. She has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. The minimum adoption donation for Pecan is £275. ADOPTION IS SUBJECT TO HOME CHECK. Full post adoption support is offered by our charity.
