Barney is a two year old black Labrador cross. Barney is fostered in Gt Yarmouth (FR001). Barney was rescued from the Mizil public shelter in Romania when all dogs there were due to be killed. He was taken to a private shelter and has recently traveled to us in a bid to give some very overlooked black dogs the chance of finding a loving home.
Barney is a very very nice dog but he doesn’t really have much of an I.Q 
. He mastered walking on a lead reasonably quickly but it’s going to take a bit more practice for him to walk in a straight line. He’s a sweet and affectionate boy who loves children and is very good with other dogs, unfortunately dominant dogs do tend to push him around a bit but he just goes all submissive so they just move on and leave him be.
Barney is unreactive to cats we meet out on walks and really is too much of a softie to object to anything. Barney has been fine being left for a few hours at home and seems to travel well in the car.
