Lia is a 3 month old female Ibizan Hound (Podenco) Cross. A pretty, stunning tan and white Podenco puppy with amazing coloured eyes, she is cat friendly and loves other dogs. Lia is so gorgeous, she will grow to be a medium size when fully grown. She has wonderful green eyes – she is such an amazingly pretty girl. Lia will make a wonderful family pet, young enough to train, socialise and introduce to children. Like all pups she is mischievous, playful and cute and we know she will melt a lot of hearts. She will not be able to travel to the UK until she is at least 16 weeks old and has had all the vaccinations required. This means she will be too young to be neutered before she travels, so her new owners will need to get this done.
Little Lia was found dumped in a rubbish bin in a Spanish town. Fortunately for Lia her cries were heard by a very caring person who rescued her from the bin and contacted the local rescue. Lia needed some very special care as she was so young – she was very scared and confused but she went to a foster home, as she was too young to go into the refuge. After lots of TLC and cuddles she is feeling safe and is loving being cared for as every puppy should be.
Fosterer’s report : So easy to be smitten by this little girl! She’s been a perfect puppy boarder and we will miss her when she goes. Her house training is coming along very well and she is getting used to the lead. Current location is in a foster home in Spain can travel to the UK once she has a home to go to. Vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, too young to be neutered but this must be done when she is old enough by the new owners, Microchipped, Pet Passport. FREE 4 weeks Pet Insurance to be activated from the link on our website. Any known health issues NONE KNOWN.
For Dogs coming from Spain: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from Spain or Portugal to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
Adoption Fee : £325 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account.
