Noel – 8 year old male Cross-Breed
Cuddly Noel is 8 years old and desperate for his forever home. This lovely natured boy adores people despite his sad past. He loves walks, cuddles, food and a garden to explore and sunbathe in.
He’s really enjoys walks and has good recall but can be a bit grumpy with some excitable dogs so would need someone to work on that. He loves to potter round the garden so that’s a must.
You will be rewarded with the most cuddly and loving boy who just wants love.

After living as a stray on the street, little Fern ended up at the Porterville Shelter in California. Through divine intervention, START Rescue selected her for transport out of this high-risk area to Oregon. Once up northwest, Fern ended up at Oregon Dog Rescue. A no-kill shelter outside of Portland, Oregon Dog Rescue is one of START’s partner receiving organizations.
Fern found her forever home from there, and will never ever look back on her life as a stray. Her new family absolutely loves to pamper her.
“Fern has been such a joy to have. She has the cutest, most bubbly personality. She is sweet, sensitive, and smart. Within the first two months, she could sit, stay, shake, lay down, rollover, and dance. She goes everywhere with us, sleeps in the bed, and is spoiled rotten. She loves the dog park too. Thank you so much; we love her to pieces.”
Just look at this precious gal and imagine her living on the streets. It just doesn’t seem right.
START Rescue does the important work to change so many dogs’ outcomes. Thanks for supporting us so we can support them!
Why Transport To The Pacific Northwest?
The simple answer is that Oregon and Washington states are less populated than California. This region lacks the out-of-control animal population that California’s overcrowded shelters and homeless strays indicate.
According to START Rescue’s website:
“Because Oregon and Washington are not oversaturated with unwanted, abandoned and homeless pets, our Rescue Partners are quite successful in adopting out our transported passengers to loving forever homes. Simply stated, our Rescue Partners “need” dogs (and cats) as much as we need, and we are grateful to them.”
START transports monthly to vetted contracted partners in the Pacific Northwest. The rescued animals usually come from California shelters and rescuers in Mexico.
The whole process begins when START provides their Rescue Partners with links to the inventory of at-risk animals. Then, those Rescue Partners make their choices for the upcoming transport. The dogs are examined and receive all vaccinations prior to loading up on a truck.
Once they arrive, the NW shelters work on rehoming these formerly doomed animals!

You Helped Save This Pup After A Rancher Shot Her

Because of loyal customers like you, many dogs get a second chance at life all thanks to these donations. Lilith is just one of the many dogs that have benefitted from iHeartDogs products.
Lilith is an Aussie mix who spent the beginning of her life alone in the middle of nowhere. She was just a young dog, only about 15 months old. The poor little pup was wandering around California one day when she got into trouble. She came across some irrigation tubing and chewed on it like any curious puppy would. A rancher was furious when he saw what she did, and he shot the innocent pup. Lilith was in critical need of medical attention, so START Rescue came to save her.
START brought Lilith to safety and nursed her back to health. Once she was feeling better, they put her on a transport to bring her closer to her forever home. The transport took her to Reedsport K9 Shelter in Oregon, where she was given the name Leela and put up for adoption.
At the shelter, Lilith was adopted almost instantly. After all, her big ears and adorable smile made her irresistible. Her new family didn’t think the name Leela suited her, so they renamed her Lilith. On the ride home from the shelter, she looked like the happiest pup in the world.
Lilith loves going for walks and exploring the outdoors with her new parents. She is such a happy dog that you’d never even realize she had a rough start to life. Her new family brings out the best in her.
If it weren’t for the help of iHeartDogs and Greater Good, Lilith might not have survived being shot. She could’ve passed away before she even knew what a loving family was like. But thanks to all the amazing dog lovers involved, Lilith was rescued and brought to safety. Now, she’s living her best life!

Pregnant Woman’s Boyfriend Asks Her to Give Up Dog For A New Apartment
A young couple who are expecting a baby are currently living in a small one bedroom apartment with their dog of five years. Anticipating the need for more space once the baby arrives, they decided to start looking for a bigger place. The boyfriend found an ideal apartment that lacked one important thing: they do not allow pets. He shocked the future mother of his child by asking her to give her beloved dog up. You can probably guess how that went over!
Just Get Rid of Her
The woman took to Reddit to air her grievance and see how other users felt about the sticky situation. She explained in her original post that she is four months pregnant and they want to move into an apartment with at least two bedrooms. Her boyfriend found a complex nearby their current one bedroom place that is fancy and filled with desirable amenities. The catch? The don’t allow pets. The girlfriend said on Reddit, “He asked me to just get rid of her or give her to my parents.” You know, like the dog is an old couch or outdated appliance rather than a living, breathing member of the family. Ugh!
He Accused Her of Being the Selfish One
Obviously the girlfriend refused to give up her dog to move into an apartment. She has been in a relationship with her pup for longer than she has her boyfriend. She loves her dog and views her as a family member with the lifetime commitment that implies. As she pointed out on Reddit, there are plenty of dog-friendly two bedroom apartments that are suitable and available in their area. But her boyfriend had the nerve to call her selfish, insinuating that she was putting her own needs above those of their unborn child. As if! She said, “He told me that I’m being selfish for not wanting to give her up. That I should put our baby first.” Seems like the boyfriend is the only one being selfish here, choosing apartment amenities and style over a devoted furry friend.
Users Suggest She Get Rid of the Boyfriend Instead
Many of the Reddit users that responded to her post suggested a solution that would allow the girlfriend to keep her current one bedroom apartment and her dog. Get rid of the boyfriend instead! After all, he’s showing some less-than-flattering true colors that may be giant red flags for their future. Anyone willing to just dump a loved one in favor of a tricked-out apartment complex may not be the long-term partner a dog-loving woman and her human baby needs.

Pit Bull Darling Stands Guard As Cat Gives Birth
Good hearts take care of those in need, no matter who or what species they happen to be.
And Hades the Pitbull proved this to be true when Nicol the cat found herself in a most vulnerable moment.
Nicol was a stray cat, hanging around the neighborhood but not letting anyone get too close. Still, Hades would help his dad, Juan José P. Flores, put food out for the lady cat.
And Hades animal intuition recognized something the humans of the neighborhood didn’t. Nicol was pregnant. And when the time came for her kittens to be born, Hades was there to protect her and her newborns.
Proud Pitbull Papa
The day the kittens were born, Hades was outside, making a lot of racket to get his dad’s attention. Juan, a dentist in Mexico, recalled, “He was desperate and making a lot of noise.”
When Juan went outside to see what had Hades bumping about, he was surprised at what he found.
Nicol was cozied into Hades’ doghouse with Hades standing at the entrance. But the dog wasn’t upset the cat was in his house. In fact, just the opposite. Hades was quite pleased to be Nicol’s guardian as she brought life into the world.
“He dragged a blanket over to the entrance of his house and settled outside the door,” shared Juan.
“She felt protected by him.”
While posted at the door, Hades watched as Nicol delivered two healthy kittens!
“I think he felt that he was a father,” speculated Juan.
While Juan was stunned to find his dog helping to birth kittens, he already knew Hades was a hound with the kindest of hearts. So, finding him protecting a soul in need wasn’t a surprise. And Juan thinks Hades has set an example the world should follow. “Hades put everything aside to help someone else. We should do the same without expecting anything in return.”
Simply put, Juan said, “Pit bulls are good dogs.”
Juan and Hades have it right, and from their kindness has risen an unlikely friendship.
Cat and Dog Become Best Buds
Juan moved the new mother and her kittens into the house and, of course, Hades was there to help. And when Nicol isn’t busy with the kittens, she and Hades enjoy hanging out together. The furry pair have already made it known to their humans, Nicol will be staying.
Thanks to Hades the dog’s kind heart, Nicol the cat gave birth in safety, and now, she’s found her forever home.

Frenchie Flexes Oscar-Worthy Acting Skills In Dramatic Series
At this point in the COVID-19 quarantine, you’re probably running out of quality movies and shows to watch. You’ve watched your favorite shows over and over again and you just can’t find anything better. Luckily, there’s a new celebrity in town who’s taking acting to a whole new level. Instagram star Wallace the French Bulldog wanted to test out his acting skills during his extra free time. He created a series of 4 episodes, some bonus features, and even a preview for an upcoming film! After only a few weeks of fame, Wallace has quickly proved that his content is better than most of the stuff you’ll find on TV!
Wallace Inside
Wallace got his start in acting with his show, Wallace Inside. The credits say that he wrote, directed, and produced it all by himself, and he even made a trailer for the show. The first episode was a silly sitcom, featuring Wallace, of course. Then, for the upcoming episodes, he decided to try something different.
For Wallace’s next three videos, he created a 3-part series of Wallace Inside, but as a soap opera. In the videos, a heart-wrenching love triangle takes place with Wallace’s wife and Wallace’s brother, who was supposedly dead. Of course, all the characters are French Bulldogs though, so it’s more hilarious than dramatic.
Fans were outraged when the trilogy came to an end. They kept demanding to see more of Wallace. Wallace listened closely to his fans, and he released yet another Wallace Inside video. This one was an alternate ending to the 3-part series, where Wallace’s brother falls into a coma and wakes up during the quarantine. He’s devastated to find out that he can’t go outside. Like the other videos, the alternate ending was hilarious, but his latest masterpiece is the best by far.
Wallace Outside
With so many amazing qualifications in his acting portfolio, Wallace was ready to take on something bigger. He decided to get extra ambitious by creating his own film! But every good film starts off with an emotional preview first. So, Wallace got to work.
After plenty of hard work and some procrastinating with video games, Wallace finally created the perfect preview. His upcoming film is titled Wallace Outside. It’s even more emotional and intense than all his other works combined. At least, that’s how it seems in the preview.
Wallace Outside tells the story of Wallace’s daily life, which takes a dark turn when his humans are suddenly home all the time. Wallace used to enjoy his alone time, but now, humans are always around and he can’t even go outside! The preview ends with Wallace preparing to leave the house to take matters into his own paws. But what will he do next? The suspense is driving fans crazy!
It’s unclear if Wallace actually plans to make this film or if he just wanted to make a silly preview. Either way, it’s hilarious.
