Leona is an 6 month old female Cross-Breed. She was recently brought over from the Raduilti Shelter in Romania. She is a fostered in hingham Norfolk. Leona is a very gentle puppy that is still very nervous of every day life. She is lead trained but is not used to roads and busy areas yet. A quiet rural home would suit her with only adults.
Leona must be rehomed with confident dog/s and a knowledgeable, confident adopter who is willing to be patient and work with her. A beautiful gentle girl that needs that chance of her forever home love, patience and nurturing, with positive training, and will in time give you her all ??
Please note it is Safe Rescue policy that all dogs adopted from us must wear a slip lead to be walked for the duration of their lives. Too many dogs are lost from slipping out of collars and harnesses and many of our dogs are timid due to past ill treatment and are likely to panic when out and about. It is absolutely okay to use these things additionally to slip leads, but not instead of.
We also request that extendable retractable leads are never used on our dogs. If you are opposed to slip leads, please do not enquire about our dogs as this is non negotiable. Thank you for understanding. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
All dogs are vaccinated, microchip and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered) If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri or 9am to 4pm Saturday

Tokyo is a 8 month old female Cross-Breed. She was abandoned on the streets as a very young puppy. Unfortunately they were dumped in a spot that often gets street dogs a bad name, as they were based between a school and university, and many of the young people frequenting that area have no idea how to treat dogs with kindness. This often leads to problems as the dogs get teased and antagonised.
After chasing after a bicycle, the locals decided to put a stop to the dogs roaming about near the school and laid out poison (which is a common form of DIY ‘pest control’) in order to kill them. A local rescuer who had already formed a trusting bond with the street dogs had been alerted to their plight at this point and immediately drove to save the pups from what would have been a truly awful death.
Tokyo, Roxy and Dante are now safe, off the streets and in the security of a small scale shelter. It took them a while to trust the new people in their lives and who could blame them. On the streets they’d been kicked, chased and had stones thrown at them, so they needed time to be sure their rescuers were going to be kind to them. They were never aggressive in any way, just apprehensive and shy at first. Of the three of them Tokyo is the most suspicious of people she’s not familiar with, and she needs more time to trust. Her confidence has already improved and will continue to do so given time and patience.
Tokyo is excellent with other dogs and needs a home with a resident canine. She finds confidence in the presence of other dogs and loves nothing more than to play, and play, and play. She’s an active dog and would do best with another energetic pup to befriend. She’s not suitable for a home with cats, but has been around children and can be homed with kids aged 6+ as long as they’re quietly confident around dogs.
The pups are a mix of Bosnian hunting dog and they do have natural prey drive, so homes without small pets is a must. This is a behaviour that they were bred for, so adopters must be able to offer active homes, semi-rural settings and an outlet for their scenting and chasing instinct that they were born with. They would have a great time on faux scenting trails, specifically designed to keep hounds busy, or with Tug-e-nuff toys! They love the outdoors and definitely need homes with gardens too, as they’ve never been contained inside a home before and have always had immediate outdoor access. Tokyo is now ready to travel to the UK has a clean bill of health. If you think you can offer her the home she needs please get in touch.

Dante is the most confident of the three, and he warms to new people a little quicker than his sisters. He is still a bit unsure of strangers but he’s come to learn that not everyone is out to hurt him, and relaxes more easily than he did when he was first rescued.
Dante is excellent with other dogs and would enjoy a home with another energetic canine. He is very active and loves to play, but as he can sometimes be a little boisterous he needs to be homed with a dog that matches his energy levels so his behaviour doesn’t overwhelm them. He’s not suitable for a home with cats, but has been around children and can be homed with kids aged 6+ as long as they’re quietly confident around dogs.

Lola is an absolutely beautiful 12 year old female Dalmatian Cross lady with the saddest of stories. She has lived all her life left alone on the porch of a house. Now at 12 years old the woman who owns her, no longer wants her.
Lola has never known comforts or affection and has now been chucked out. Incredibly this old dog, although shy at first, soon gains some confidence and is affectionate and loving to people.
Lola would like a quiet home. She could live as an only dog or with other quiet older dogs. Lola seems to have a little arthritis in her legs which is to be expected at her age. She is not suitable for a home with cats.
Lola is at the shelter we work with in North Spain but her bags are packed and she is ready to travel to her forever home in the UK. Will that be with you?
If you are interested in giving Lola a home, she is available at Setter Brittany Pointer Rescue.
Argos is a 10 year old male English Setter. He is a lovely older chap. He has a wonderful character! Argos is calm and obedient. He is a super boy, docile and loving with people.
Argos is sociable with male and female dogs in the shelter we work with in North Spain. He shares his run with a female and male dog. The three oldies get on really well together.
Argos was handed in by the hunter who no longer wanted him because of his age.
We believe Argos has osteoarthritis in his hind legs, typical of his age. He’s looking for a quiet home where he can potter around freely and go for walks at his own pace and distance and finally learn what it’s like to experience love for the first time.
Argos was born 5th May 2011. Argos is currently at the shelter we work with in North Spain however he is ready to travel to his forever home in the UK. Will that be with you?
If you are interested in giving Argos a home, he is available at Setter Brittany Pointer Rescue.
This beautiful girl is Polly, a 3 month old female Cross-Breed puppy who came into our care as the result of irresponsible breeding. Luckily, she and her siblings are now with us and we can write a whole new chapter for them – finding homes where they are loved, respected and given the time and attention they deserve.
Polly is a is a cross-breed, and although we predict a medium size once fully grown (the mother weighs around 20-25kg), the father is unknown and so the puppies could grow bigger than expected. We don’t know what breed mix they are, so open-minded adopters to looks and size of their future companion is a must.
Polly is currently being cared for by a volunteer we work with, in a finca in Northern Spain. The puppies have been learning about the good side of people, that it’s fun to receive attention and fuss and to socialise with humans. They have the typical sweet nature of a puppy, ready to learn about the world and be taught everything a dog needs to know.
Polly currently lives with lots of other dogs, so she socialises on a regular basis. This will need to be kept up in her new home, as will socialisation with new people. She may be nervous on first encounters, but soon warms up and her confident little nature will shine through. She is interested in being around people and very active and curious about all that surrounds her. She needs an active home, who will offer lots of mental and physical stimulation, and time exploring outdoors.
Taking on a puppy requires patience, commitment and time. Polly will need to learn everything about the world, from how to walk on a lead, to house training, to travelling in a car, to greeting new people, to understanding the rules and manners of a home. All of this will be totally new, so please bear this in mind and only apply if you feel you can offer this training and stability for the next 13-15 years. In summary Polly needs a dog experienced home. Someone with the time and daily routine to accommodate the energy and exercise she needs.
We are looking for an adult only home or a home without young children (14+), as we want dogs who require more time like herself to be the priority. A confident resident dog for company and to help her learn would be beneficial, but isn’t a must have as long as she is able to meet dogs and interact with them on a daily base. In return you will take home the most grateful bundle of joy, ready to fill your home with fun and love.
Polly is ready to start her journey to England or Wales (NOT Scotland) as soon as her forever home comes forward. Polly will travel with her pet passport, microchipped, vaccinated and tested for Mediterranean diseases. Also a spay/neuter contract will be signed, via which the adopter agrees that the puppy will be neutered or spayed when the time is right. If you want that Polly becomes part of your life please get in touch.
