Simon Porte Jacquemus (of the self-named brand) wowed his millions of followers with more than just his designs recently. The French fashion designer just adopted a tiny little puppy named TouTou. Clearly, he’s obsessed, and so is everyone else.
Describing him as a “new member of the family,” the designer shared a photo of little TouTou on Jacquemus’ Instagram. TouTou now has his own page you can follow here. As of yet, there are only three photos there, all extremely cute.
Jacquemus has also shared a few videos of TouTou frolicking around with his adorably tiny waddle. So far, the pup has accompanied both of his dads to their jobs (and seems to love it.) It seems like he’s always hanging out with his family, which is great. Everyone at work seems to love him too!
A lot of us are probably all hoping for the same thing – Toutou to appear in fashion editorials. I mean, he really has a look, right? He should have his own campaign, or at the very least his own fashion line.
Following either account on Instagram (@jacquemus or @mynameistoutou) will likely get you access to many more cute photos of TouTou. Right now, he’s only as big as one of their purses, so it will be fun to watch him grow.
Since Jacquemus is a major brand, they work with some really high profile people. It’s pretty weird that Instagram just lets us have a little sneak peek at how celebs and influencers interact with each other publicly. But here’s what some had to say about this little doggie:
“cutttiieeeee!” – Haim (@haimtheband via Instagram)
“PROMOTE HIM IMMEDIATELY.” – Model/Influencer Jadé Tuncdoruk (@jadetunchy via Instagram)
“ok THIS is actually a dog i would voluntarily dogsit” – YouTuber Damon Dominique (@damondominique via Instagram)
Alright, so they might be celebrities of few words (and many emojis.) Ariana Grande and Bella Hadid also threw all the TouTou posts some likes.
Regardless of our follower counts though, us regular Joes and Josephines also fell in love with little TouTou.
“Parfait, on attends la collection @jacquemus pour dogo!” (“Perfect, we are waiting for the Jacquemus collection for dogo!”) – @dorianschober via Instagram
All I have to say is, I’d buy whatever TouTou is selling. Congrats to Simon and the whole company on their new best friend!

Being alone can be hard. Especially when we’re forced into solitude at the threat of an illness so new to the world.
The fear and anxiety unleashed by the stress of the 2020 global Covid-19 outbreak has been almost too much to bear at certain moments. But, as dog parents, we know we can make it through anything thanks to our canine family.
And a recent survey conducted about the coronavirus lockdown has shown this to be true!
The University of York and the University of Lincoln surveyed 6,000 United Kingdom residents about their time in Covid-19 lockdown during the months of March through June. And one fact that proved almost universally true?
Animal companions helped their people get through the lockdown.
Of the six thousand participants surveyed, 90% reported having companion animals at home. That same percentage said, “their pet helped them cope emotionally with the lockdown”.
Daniel Mills, a professor with the School of Life Sciences at the University of Lincoln and co-author of the study, explained, “This work is particularly important at the current time as it indicates how having a companion animal in your home can buffer against some of the psychological stress associated with lockdown.”
But as dog parents are wont to do, they still worried about their furry darlings. In fact, 68% of participants worried over what would become of their animals if they contracted Covid-19. People also expressed concern over getting their pet medical attention if the need arose.
Though respondents held these worries, they still felt far better having their furry companion at their side. Because as we already know, when we have our dogs with us, we’re never truly alone. Their love encourages us to be the best versions of ourselves because if we aren’t doing alright, how will they be okay?
The survey also revealed it didn’t seem to matter whether an animal companion was feline, canine, feathered, or scaled. The emotional connection was there all the same.
Lead author, Dr. Elena Ratschen with the Department of Health Sciences University of York said, “We also discovered that in this study, the strength of the emotional bond with pets did not statistically differ by animal species, meaning that people in our sample felt on average as emotionally close to, for example, their guinea pig as they felt to their dog.”
No surprise there! All animals are great!
While the information was assimilated with the recent lockdown in mind, the implications of the survey appear promising when looking at mental health and animal companionship all the way around. “Findings from this study also demonstrated potential links between people’s mental health and the emotional bonds they form with their pets,” according to Dr. Ratschen.
But this survey’s results weren’t meant to create definitive answers about mental health status and animals. But at least it has us talking about the correlation.
As dog lovers, we’ve long known one key to a happier and more productive life is giving love and being loved by a dog. We’re happy the rest of the world realizes this fact too!

Tragically, our dogs are not permanent fixtures in our lives. However, the impression they leave on us is. Some people decide to commemorate this important relationship with something pretty permanent: tattoos.
Of course, everyone loves a dog paw… Maybe even enough to put one on their skin. With that said, here’s a collection of very cool paw-print inspired tattoos from all around the world.
The artist, Jackie Adams, wrote about this first tattoo on her Instagram:
“Replicated our sweetheart doggie Skunky’s #watercolor#pawprint on my sister Jessie yesterday! Skunky, you are a true artist! Thanks for putting up with almost 200 pawprints before we got that perfect one!”
This precious little spotted foot was designed by artist Sarah Genereux in San Diego CA.
Lisa Sicignano inked this simple but gorgeous paw tattoo.
Italian tattoo artist Jennifer made these two distinctly different prints above two different ankles.
This artist also designs colorful pups and other character tattoos.
On Instagram, Liz Russy wrote: “Paw print tattoo for my first born dog baby!” A gorgeous tribute indeed.
These beautiful spring designs come from an artist in Budapest.
Snoop will never be forgotten, that’s for sure.
Doodle looks like he knows this imprint will last for life.
Ray Young inked this amazing doggie tattoo art.
Both of Shiloh’s feet made it on to his person’s leg.
Sarah Van Gestel from Belgium came up with this creative dedication.
This tribute to Juno went from ink on paper to ink on skin.
An artist from Cyprus designed this gorgeous and realistic paw.
Clearly, this lucky Lab really inspires her mom.
I absolutely love this tiny heart inside a tiny doggie foot.
A client in North Carolina wanted her dog’s unique splotch on her leg forever.
Pups don’t seem to mind too much when someone dunks their foot in paint.
The “after” shot says it all. He looks so honored to be the inspiration for art!
After completing this lovely tribute, the artist wrote:
“Animal memorial tattoos are never easy. Thank you Doug for trusting me with this one!”
This adorable tattoo truly looks like muddy paw prints on a clean floor.
Finally: here’s a beautiful artistic interpretation of a real pup’s paw!
The space our animals take up our skin pales in comparison to the space they take up in our hearts.

Dancer and actress Julianne Hough announced her separation from Brooks Laich amid the coronavirus quarantine. They were quarantined in two separate states at the time, and they supposedly realized that they were perfectly fine being on their own. Yet, fans were devastated that the couple was calling it quits. After all, the two have always seemed so good for each other.
As it turns out, fans were right. There was one thing that could help bring these two lovebirds back together: their rescue Husky named Koda.
After a few months apart, sources say that Hough and Laich are now working on their marriage again. They have been spotted a few times together since their separation. Despite trying to keep their relationship details out of the media, fans are eager to know what will happen next with the couple.
“Brooks really still wants to make it work and she’s considering it, but taking her time. He’s open to whatever it will take,” a source claimed. “Julianne likes the idea of freedom but doesn’t want to lose such a good, solid guy. Everyone who knows him knows how grounded and great he is.”
These claims became even clearer when Koda stepped in. The couple adopted the Husky from a local dog rescue in 2018, and they’ve shared a close bond with him, especially after losing their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. According to the couple’s Instagram stories, they recently went on a vacation together with Koda. Perhaps he’s the one helping bring them back together.
Hough posted an adorable video of her in the car with Koda. They seem to be on a vacation road trip, likely with Laich. In the video, Koda showers his mom with kisses and presses his head against her as if to give her a “face hug.” She captioned this post saying, “this sweet boy loves his momma.”
In addition to the heartwarming video, Hough and Laich both posted similar images on their stories. Both were photos of Koda with a lake house behind him. There’s no way the dog could be in two places at once, so it looks like Hough and Laich were vacationing together after their separation.
Of course, neither one of them could’ve stayed away from Koda for long. They both clearly love him very much, and the poor pup would be devastated if they split permanently. So, while Hough and Laich are working things out on their own terms, it’s safe to say that Koda had an impact too. After all, he’s a part of their family!
It’s uncertain what the future holds for Hough and Laich, but hopefully, they can work things out eventually. They better give Koda plenty of love and cuddles along the way too.

When you purchase items from the iHeartDogs store, a portion of the proceeds go to GreaterGood. GreaterGood is an incredible organization that uses donations to help dogs in need. Many dogs have been transported away from high-risk areas to find their forever families. One of those dogs is Possum.
Possum is guessed to be a Chihuahua and Dachshund mix. She first lived with a homeless man in Bakersfield, California. Her human was unable to get her spayed, so despite only being two years old, she had countless litters of puppies throughout her life. Eventually, the homeless man knew it was time to give his pup to a family who could treat her better. But that meant she had a long journey ahead of her.
Thanks to a GreaterGood grant, which was funded by the iHeartDogs community, Possum got a second chance. START Rescue transported her out of California to give her a better life. She soon arrived at Oregon Dog Rescue in Tualatin, Oregon. From there, she gave birth to her last litter of puppies. She had five handsome boys and one beautiful girl. From that moment on, she would no longer have to worry about being pregnant ever again.
Possum’s pups quickly got adopted, and she was given the space and support to fully recover from her past. Her transformation is kind of like a Cinderella story. Soon, she looked like a happy puppy instead of an overbred mom. She became even happier when a kind family adopted her and gave her the home she always dreamed of.
“Possum is doing wonderful,” said Possum’s new family. “It is hard to put into words the joy she has brought to our family. Even the cat seems to enjoy her company. She does not like to have her picture taken but loves the snow and has two jackets! She is a joy and love personified.”
Thanks to purchases from the iHeartDogs store, many dogs like Possum get a second chance at life. Thank you to all the incredible heroes who have purchased products to save dogs in need!
Your purchase of any of the following items provides rescue transport miles. These miles help rescue groups save pets from overcrowded shelters, taking them on a trip by road and by air to areas with low shelter populations, where loving families are waiting to adopt.
