Fergus – 2 year old male German Shepherd Cross

Fergus is an adorable German Shepherd Cross around 2 years old, very loving nature and so focused on training and treats. He, like many other dogs from us, was rescued from Odai public shelter, having a capacity of 700 dogs and where the conditions are not great.

He is very playful and friendly with dogs, but he has prefferences regarding some males. We also need a cat free home for him because he is too interested in the cats outside.

We are looking for an active family for our boy, ideal with a young female too, he is brilliant with people, bonding straight away, eager to learn tricks and new things, fantastic for many types of dog trainings/sports.

Indio – 9 year old male Pachon Navarro

Indio is a 9 year old male Pachon Navarro. Indio was saved from a pound where he had been waiting for months and when he was taken out he was skin and bones (see photo). He’s better now but still waiting for that lovely home with humans of his own to give him cuddles. He is a cuddly, affectionate boy (which is typical of the Pachon Navarro breed, they’re know for being very good-natured).

He’s great with female dogs but is grumpy with males (understandable at his age and all he’s been through) so would do best as an only dog or living with a female/s. He’s not good with cats so needs a cat-free home. He has osteo-arthritis thanks to the awful life he’s had and when he arrived he was very stiff in his legs. After having had joint supplements for several months he’s much better and can run around a little now.

The Pachon Navarro is a traditional Spanish pointer breed, it was nearly extinct until some hunters brought it back recently. They are used for hunting birds in Spain and are known for having an exceptionally good temperament. Some (including Indio) have a very unique double nose.

Moises – 2 year old male German Wire-Haired Pointer Cross

Moises is a 2 year old male German Wire-Haired Pointer Cross. He appeared in May of last year roaming on the streets in the Toledo area of Spain, trying to find food in bins, scared and soaking wet poor thing.

He ran away initially but then finally allowed the kind rescuers to catch him. He’s now in their shelter, he’s happy and confident now, gets on well with dogs and people of all ages. But he would love to have a forever home.

Scout – 1-2 year old female Cross-Breed

Scout is a rescue from Cyprus, currently living in London. Through no fault of her own she finds herself looking for a new forever family. Here is a little about her. Scout is a gorgeous, playful girl. Her current family play with her, pick her up, hug her and kiss her all the time and she simply adores the attention. She is playful because she’s young.

Scout walks well on the lead, but she does pull, however given her size this is something that can be easily worked with. She absolutely loves going for a walk. Scout was a street doggy in Cyprus so she is a bit obsessed with food and this definitely will help her settle with her new family. She is very good with other dogs and is curious and likes being playful.

As the youngest person in her current home is 18, we don’t really know what she is like with young children. However, she is such a gentle soul, perhaps calm, dog savvy children would be okay. She is a bit wary of strangers, especially men. If a man approaches her in the park she can be timid at times. We don’t know how Scout is living with cats but she chases birds and squirrels at the park so we imagine she may chase cats.

Scout sleeps very well, calmly and quietly all night in her crate. She really is a good little girl. She has no health issues and is strong and healthy with a lovely soft coat. Scout would love to find a home where she will be out and about on regular walks, with an active family who can give her a lot of love, exercise and attention. She would also like to be with someone who was around for much of the day and would love family who have other dogs already.

Scout is simply a very cuddly and very quiet girl in the home. She wants to be happy, comfortable and loved.

If you have space on your sofa for Scout and time to enjoy walking with her, please contact us. She has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. The minimum adoption donation for Scout is £275. ADOPTION IS SUBJECT TO HOME CHECK. Full post adoption support is offered by our charity.

Sheila – 2 year old female Pointer Cross

Sheila is a 2 year old female Pointer Cross. Sheila ended up in a kill shelter and had been there a long time and her time was nearly up when we were asked to help. We’re so happy to have been able to have saved her.

She’s a typical pointer active, energetic with selective hearing when there is something interesting to sniff. When she’s not busy she’s affectionate and cuddly. She seems to get on well with other dogs at the shelter.

Aggie – 10 year old male Jack Russell Terrier Cross

Aggie is a 10 year old male Jack Russell Terrier Cross. Aggie is a sweet, mature, medium sized lady with a short silky white and tan coat. Aggie prefers male dogs to female dogs, but she’s sociable with all dogs. She walks very well on a lead, doesn’t pull at all. Aggie is very affectionate to people, she loves human company and would be a devoted companion. We think she would be happy to live without another dog.

Aggie is one of our special oldies that we are promoting keenly at the moment. This poor little lady has been at the pound in kennels in Spain, since November 2012, and we are desperate to find her a retirement home. For this reason her donation is greatly reduced. Aggie is a lovely and calm lady.

Current location is in a foster home in Solihull West Midlands. Adoption Fee : £80 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account.

Coco – 7 year old male Cross-Breed

Handsome Coco is a large, Wire-Haired Cross-Breed mature lad who’s been waiting a long time for his new family. Coco is very sociable with other dogs and very, very affectionate with people. He doesn’t bark much, he’s not a boisterous dog, he’s very calm – although he loves a good fuss!
Coco doesn’t pull on the lead, he likes calm walks and pays attention to the person next to him.

Coco is one of our special oldies that we are promoting keenly at the moment. Coco has been at the pound in Spain, since January 2013, when he was a one year old. He’s becoming an oldie in the pound, seeing the days pass by without anybody ever asking for him. Now he’s not young anymore and is in desperate need of a family.

For this reason his donation is greatly reduced. He’s a happy, calm boy who enjoys getting out of his kennel to spend some time with volunteers. He’s still active, he’s healthy and playful. Current location is in Spain can travel to the UK once he has a home to go to.

Adoption Fee : £185 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account

Justin – 4 year old male Pointer Cross

Handsome Justin is a medium to large, smooth coated, black and white Pointer cross boy. A smashing boy, Justin is a very active, very sociable with other dogs and people and a loving boy. He is still young and craves human contact and daily exercise, which he can’t have at the pound where he’s been since he was a puppy, in the North of Spain.

This has lead to him being very stressed. He’s not the kind of dog that can be crated, he has a high level of energy and it’s urgent for him to find a family that allows him to exercise as much as he needs and who have a good sized garden.

Justin pulls on the lead, as he hasn’t been taught how to walk on the lead yet, but we are working on that. He requires basic training on everything, but in return he’s willing to give unconditional love! This is a project for a willing new owner. Justin loves playing and running around with other dogs. He’s smart and obedient. He’s sociable with all dogs, so he could live with other dogs. He hasn’t been tested with cats.

As well, he loves being with people, he’s very affectionate but he’s wary in the beginning, just until he trusts the person. Current location is in Spain can travel to the UK once he has a home to go to.

Adoption Fee : £245 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account
